Publisher vows to resist subpoena in Synanon case

POINT REYES STATION Calif UPI David Mitchell co publisher of the weekly newspaper that won a Pulitzer says he will resist a subpoena from Synanon for notes and records. The subpoena ties to a $32 million damage suit by Paul Morantz the Los Angeles lawyer attacked by a rattlesnake in his mailbox last October. Synanon founder Charles Dederich and two members have been charged in the incident.
