Norwalk Fire Department Responds to Eight May Calls
Norwalk firemen were summoned eight times in May. Two residential blazes and one grease fire counted among the incidents, plus two non fire calls and three miscellaneous calls. The largest blaze destroyed a car on Hester Street, set deliberately and causing about $1,500 damage. Two minor home fires totaled $27. Fire Prevention Bureau continues downtown inspections.
