Approve Deed For Well Site In Town Line Road
NEW LONDON The deed for the well site on Town line Road was approved and returned to the former owner for recording at the Huron County Courthouse by the Board of Public Affairs Thursday night. Transfer of the property had been delayed since 1966 because of technicalities. John Marquis, the property owner, sought a guaranteed water supply if adjacent wells were depleted by village withdrawal. The final agreement guarantees compensation for depletion with Marquis proving village cause. The board also requested transfers within water and sewer funds and considered a request from C.E. Ward Co. to seek an additional water supply from the EPA as part of Northwest Ohio reservoir plans.
