Norwalk Council Okays Sewer Billing in Several Sections
Norwalk City Council approved four emergency ordinances levying sewer assessments for residents in sections of North West Street Whittlesey Avenue Washington Street Cleveland Road and Old State Road. Seven of 37 owners on old West Main Street will be assessed while Alma Shelley and Willard Betschmann were told they would not be. A preinstalled 1910 assessment had excused some on old West Main Street from new charges. Deadline for tapping in.

Obdium Mrs Marjorie Baker Dies After Illness
Mrs. Marjorie J. Baker 57 of rural Norwalk died Tuesday at Fisher-Titus Memorial Hospital after months of illness. She is survived by two daughters Donna Leber and Margaret Lewis, five sisters, one brother, two grandchildren, and her husband Nelson Baker who died in 1973. Friends may call Heaston Gerber Funeral Home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Richard Harper officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
