Bomb blast fails to harm Plymouth Rock in Plymouth
Police Chief Ernest Leonardi said a bomb exploded Tuesday night in an improvised attempt to blow up Plymouth Rock. The rock was undamaged, with only a hole 18 by 36 inches and about seven inches deep dug in the sand in front of the rock on the ocean side. No injuries were reported.
