Ohio group seeks 10 cent deposit on cans and bottles
The Ohio Alliance for Returnables filed petitions to place a 10 cent deposit on beer and soft drink cans and bottles on the November ballot. If 85,301 signatures are validated, the measure would go before voters on Nov. 6. The plan also bans pull-tab containers and faces opposition from manufacturers and labor groups.
