162 Die In Worst Air Crash in Japan
A 22 year old Japanese student pilot collided in an F86 Sabrejet with an All Nippon Airways Boeing 727 over Morioka. The 162 aboard perished in the disaster, the worst single aviation loss. The F86 pilot survived by parachuting. The All Nippon captain Saburo Kawanishi, 41, tried to warn others as the jetliner broke up.

Emma J. Slone of Milan filed a $10,000 suit in 1968 against Schild's IGA Maschari Beverages and Pepsi Cola Bottling Co alleging two Teem bottles exploded in her cart causing injuries.
