Missing 9-year-old Kevin Dye feared in Casper Mountain search

In Casper Wyoming a missing 9-year-old boy Kevin Dye, described as mentally retarded and epileptic, is feared lost in Casper Mountain canyons. Rescue efforts involving parents helicopters dogs and 2000 volunteers paused Thursday night and to resume Saturday hoping he calms. He has been missing since a picnic on Sunday and reportedly takes about nine tranquilizers daily.

Fire at Howard Johnson's Downtown Hotel Kills Seven

A 18 story Howard Johnson's Downtown Motor Hotel fire in New Orleans killed seven as guests escaped from the 12th floor with bedsheet rope. Eight were rescued from smoke, including a critical young boy victim. Fire officials cited toxic gases spreading flames.
