Willard Councilman Probes General Telephone Service
Willard councilman Wade Eden announced plans Monday night to study General Telephone Co. service. He will randomly dial the operator to measure ring time and collect complaints such as unaccounted long distance calls, difficulty reaching the operator, failed long distance calls, slow installations and repairs, extra directory access problems, and unexplained three day disconnections. If enough residents complain, he will take the issue to the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio.

Mental Health Center Move Considered in Huron County
Huron County Commissioners and Mental Health Center representatives toured Shady Lane Home after noon Monday. A plan proposes moving the center from 86 West Main Street to Shady Lane after the county home closure on September 1, using the administration building with possible day care space if federal grants are approved. The center would serve individuals recently discharged from mental hospitals or needing more than periodic guidance visits. Consensus indicated no major building changes would be needed to repurpose the administration building.
