Food stamp income limits rise for single and two person households

The maximum net income to qualify for food stamps increases effective July 1. One person households may earn up to 262 dollars monthly, up from 245. Two person households rise to 344 dollars from 322, with further increases for other groups announced earlier.

Catholic Priest Faces Second Charge in Illegal Bingo Case

In Pacoima California police said Rev Louis Valbuena of Mary Immaculate Church would face a second criminal count for running an illegal bingo game. He and five others were already charged after a November church raid. An undercover raid on the parish hall Thursday night prompted the additional charge amid claims players were forced to pay.
