Airman Home on Leave Injured in Bike Crash
Norwalk man Larry J. Silcox 21 home on leave from Knocheloe Air Force Base Michigan was injured Thursday when his motorcycle slammed into a telephone pole on Christie Avenue. He suffered a fractured skull possible spine injuries and leg abrasions and was in fairly good condition at Fisher Titus Memorial Hospital. The bike owner Neil Shipley 189 Benedict was a passenger and unharmed. Silcox attributed the mishap to unfamiliarity with the cycle and failure to lay into the curve.

Man Fined For Assault In Mayor's Court
Norwalk man Sidney Crump 35 of 30 Walnut St was convicted of assault and battery after his wife charged him with hitting her and their 2 year old daughter Kimberly Joyce. He was fined 50 dollars and jailed ten days plus costs and a report sent to Juvenile Court.
