North Fairfield Hit Hard by Storm Damage
The North Fairfield Mill and Transit Company suffered the heaviest losses with soaked feed fertilizer and seed beans, four damaged motors, and a sunken fuel spreader. A small house trailer office flooded, the bridge south of the mill washed away, and multiple roads and bridges were impassable. The Bud Abbott family and nearby properties faced extensive water damage while crops escaped heavy harm.
