The board president Mrs. Alton Woodworth and the center director Mrs. Jean Evans resigned effective July 1 amid board employee policy disputes. Dr. Ben A. Finkelstein, hired as medical director in March, also assumes director duties. Evans had led since June 1968 after Duffes was fired. Evans earned about 17000 annually. Woodworth sent her resignation June 30. Gotaas received it.
