Age 67 Deputy Recorder Atyeo Retires After 27 Years
Alvin Atyeo retires from the Huron County Recorder's Office after 27 years of service ending today. Born and raised in Huron County he served in World War II winning six bronze stars before a long career recording deeds and mortgages dating to 1950. Carol A. Livengood steps in to take over duties as training underway.

Youth Injured In City Crash In Norwalk
An 18 year old Norwalk resident, Steve Waugh of 22 Hawthorne Drive, was injured when his car veered off Norwood Avenue and struck a power pole. Witnesses dispute involvement of another vehicle. police cited him for loss of control. Waugh was in satisfactory condition at Fisher Titus Memorial Hospital.
