Norwalk Plans Ten Street Resurfacing Projects This Summer
Norwalk City Council approved ten street resurfacing projects totaling about 32400 dollars for the coming summer. The list includes St. Marys Vandercook to Grove Central Avenue Spino Street Spino Court Williams Avenue Scottwood Collingwood Spring Sheridan Hester. A resident complained Norwalk Creek debris remains and Mayor Finch said cleaning will be completed this week with service director Mount to follow up.

Boys Build Ground Huggers From Four Old Bicycles
Three Norwalk brothers Pete Schlader John and Tom fused four old bikes into two eight foot long ground hugger bicycles with welded frames back rests and extended chains. Pete credited a Mechanic Illustrated idea as the source and the yellow bike was finished last year while the purple one was completed this spring. They now ride the unusual machines around the city drawing stares from motorists and other cyclists.

Collision on State Route 61 Injures Four
David P. Sexton 20 of Willard was charged with driving left of center after passing two cars on Route 61 in Greenfield Township. His southbound car hit Ralph M. Fulton 64 of Collins who was northbound. Fulton was treated and released. Sexton and passenger Ronnie F. Tuttle 25 had injuries but were not treated.

St Louis Cardinals Release Hartenstein In roster move
Natean Deilaa and the St Louis Cardinals confirm an unconditional release for Hartenstein, 28, after a cash deal. Hartenstein had been on the injured list since June 17 and is no longer with the team. Righthander Chuck, acquired from the Ditshieneneh Diannéan Tisnn, returns to the roster.
