Fremont Rents City Offices After Storm Damage
Fremont City Council met in emergency session and voted to relocate the city hall and police station to a new 4,000 square foot headqu arters in the Mosser Construction Co. building at a monthly fee of 1700 dollars. The storm caused 8 to 10 million dollars in damage, tore off the roof, and left interior flooding and health hazards from pigeon droppings. Mayor Richard Maier estimates 25 thousand dollars to repair city hall.
