Norwalk Flood Victims Mouth Insurance Gap Deepens

Few households in Norwalk carry flood insurance leaving most victims to mop up and salvage. Flood claims are likely to be denied as most policies do not cover flood damage and flood insurance is federally managed with a $200 deductible. Recreation sites like Valley Beach Swim Club face 6000 to 7000 dollars in repairs while Elks Country Club reports minor losses. The city organizes a final flood debris pick up as residents assess losses with no flood coverage.
