Woman Cop Faces Hearing After Sixth Police Car Crash
Columbus police officer Carolyn Hawkins, who graduated in March 1976, faced a Fleet Safety Committee hearing on her sixth crash. Her driving privileges were suspended for about four months after five accidents in four months and later reinstated on June 28. She was briefly assigned to desk duty and then to nonemergency runs before a patrol return decision.
