A former Norwalk man, 21 year old William E. Fowler, is believed drowned off Melbourne Florida after a surfing accident. He grew up in the area, worked in Florida, and was an amateur artist and pilot. Funeral plans are pending body recovery. In Medina County a 17 year old Willard youth Norman J. Wiers died after a motorcycle race crash at Smith Road Raceway. He was a Willard High student and member of church and school ensembles. autopsy planned.
