County Seeks Delay On Old State Road
Huron County commissioners press Norwalk to delay the Old State Road project to fit State Issue 1 funds, hoping to rebalance allocations across the county. Project costs rose for Gallup Road and Old State Road, with Old State partly funded by federal money. Mount opposes dropping Old State Road to favor Willard’s Myrtle Avenue, while the county argues approvals already granted by the state apply to Linwood Bridge.
