The Western Reserve School Board voted to admit three South American students tuition free but condemned the lack of advance planning for their arrival. The students, two from Brazil and one from Uruguay, join a program run by International Cultural Exchange of Ann Arbor. Two original students left due to homes and country living differences. the group is staying in Norwalk. Tuition for the three for the rest of the year would run about 400 to 500 dollars. Local host Lyle Fisher placed students in Norwalk and several other districts and called the Brazil influx a mixup from late signups.
