Huron County tax split Plymouth and Bellevue districts
Huron County will collect a half percent piggyback sales tax only in the north half of Plymouth and the east side of Bellevue where county lines run through main streets. The split places increased tax on some businesses while others remain at state rate. Local merchants express worry about price competition and cross-border shopping, though some anticipate minimal impact on small items.
