City Man Changes His Plea in Fraud and Theft Cases

Harold Arthur Conrad, 19, 143 E Willard, pleaded guilty to passing fraudulent checks in Huron County Common Pleas Court. He is held on a $2,500 cash bond after previously entering a not guilty plea. Earl Jackson Puckett, 19, New London, pleaded guilty to auto theft with the case continued. he has been held on a $5,000 bond since January 14 on a statutory rape charge and may face fraudulent check charges. Eric Lewis, 32, Pittsburgh, was sentenced to one to five years in the Ohio State Penitentiary after a jury found him guilty of breaking into the Meeker home in Norwalk on August 7. Elmer Avery Newsome, 35, Norwalk, was bound over on a $5,000 cash or $10,000 property bond after pleading not guilty to incest in Huron County.
