Icy roads spark six accidents and two injuries
Police investigated six accidents Thursday amid icy roads. Charles Bishop 24 was cited for reckless operation after his car hit a parked vehicle on Benedict Avenue and left the scene. Tina Beer 16 was cited for failing to stop in an assured clear distance after her car turned into a pickup driven by James Ellis, injuring both drivers. Scarlet Adams 17 was hospitalized after her car skidded on Ohio 99 and struck a telephone pole. A Willard girl remained in fair condition after a skid and sideswipe incident on icy Ohio 99.

Gas theft case puzzled West Virginia police blotter
A West Virginia driver Thursday bilked a gas station attendant out of $1, police report. Sue Strader, an attendant at the Certified Oil Station on Routes 18 and 20, said the man asked for $3 of gas and paid for $2. Police traced the license to Handley Motor Co. of Wheeling, W. Va.

Teen cited for excessive speed in crash near Hartland Center
Wednesday a vehicle driven by Suzanne Haynes, 17, Hartland Center Road, was cited for excessive speed for conditions after an eastbound Zenobia Road collision about a half mile east of U S 250 with a car driven by 73 year old Leola B Delamore of Collins. No injuries were reported.
