Bert Wheeler dies at 72 after two family losses
Bert Wheeler, surviving member of Wheeler and Woolsey, died in New York from emphysema at St. Clare's Hospital. He was 72 and had just lost his only child, Patricia, to a brain tumor two weeks earlier. Wheeler rose with Robert Woolsey to form a famed two man comedy team in early Hollywood.

Western Reserve High School Fund Drive Aims to Cover Burglary Loss
A committee of five business leaders launches a drive to replace 1037 dollars taken in a December burglary at Western Reserve High School. Funds stolen from the yearbook class, GAA, cafeteria, and portrait fund threaten yearbook, sports, and assembly programs. Checks go to Wakeman Bank as escrow. Airport Zoning Adopted by Huron County Board
Huron County commissioners adopted the airport zoning regulations after a public hearing with no opposition. The 22 page code imposes height limits for trees and structures within 10 000 feet of the Huron County Airport and applies to nearby townships and the city. Paul Linder attended the hearing with questions but offered no objections. The Airport Authority plans to supply copies of the regulations to Norwalk City, Norwalk Township, and Townsend Township officials.

Richard L Souslin a 20 year old construction specialist in the US Army was wounded by shrapnel in the Song Be area north of Saigon on January 8 and hospitalized at the 24th Evacuation Hospital He is one of 15 wounded in the same battle and has been awarded the Purple Heart He is a 1965 graduate of South Central High School and was inducted September 12 1966.
