The Willard Area Reservoir north of Willard, covering 328 acres with 24 percent miles around, is nearly finished and will supply most of the town’s water. Built from 1968 on land once farmed by Jacob Swert, it may host recreation facilities and fishing pending regulations and funding, including a $190,000 shelter area plan.
Twenty one residents begin the city second emergency squad care ambulance course including three patrolmen and one fireman. The class runs Mondays 7 to 10 p.m. in the old city council chambers. No charge. textbooks supplied. Qualified graduates earn standby pay plus mileage and extra for out of town runs.
