Park Budget Clash Prompts Reassessment of 1973 Improvements
Park and Recreation Director Austin Shadle cites a required budget recheck after city officials allotted 10 600 for capital projects, while Shadle proposed 42 000. Mayor Goodsite and Finance Director Colvin call it a misread, and Sheriff Borgia pledges to live within the 10 600, with future finance reporting and park commission input tightened. The dispute delays a planned Gallup Avenue playground and delays tennis court lighting and backstop upgrades at several parks.
