Norwalk City Council spent over three hours parsing an eight page traffic control ordinance about state code alignment. The discussion touched sidewalk bicycle legality, municipal standards, and potential rereading if major changes arise.
Huron based Wilkes and Co. submitted the lowest bid of 14770 for surface scrubbers and a pump for the city water filtration plant beating R G Beer Corp Mansfield and others. Scrubbers mounted atop filters will improve backwash efficiency extending intervals from about 40 hours as explained by City Engineer James Widman. The city board of control will award the contract.
