New Method To Dissolve Gall Stones Studied
Dr. Eberhard Mack of Wisconsin and Dr. Jonathon Thistle of Mayo Clinic report a new drug, mono octanoin in Capmul 8210, dissolving retained gallstones after gallbladder removal. In trials, 19 stones in 11 patients dissolved, with faster results on single stones. FDA supervised trials aim to avoid reoperation or radiological extraction.
