Gov. John J. Gilligan names Robert W. Smith to the General Division of the Huron County Common Pleas Court effective today. Smith, 46, has served since 1973 as judge of the Probate and Juvenile Division and succeeds Judge Robert J. Vetter who retired after 27 years on the bench.

Entry occurred at front and rear. rear theft totaled over $1000 in tools torches welding gear and similar items while front area yielded cash an adding machine and a base radio. Suspects loaded the goods into a 1968 Ford three quarter ton pickup owned by the firm.
