City Won't Pay Airport Lawyer in Norwalk Dispute
The City of Norwalk will no longer cover its share of legal bills for aeronautics attorney Harry Riggs hired to defend the county airport authority and others in a $1.1 million Zoellner suit. Mayor Goodsite announced the decision after a council meeting, stating Riggs’s $326 bill will be paid from airport funds or Zoellner rent going forward. the case remains unsettled with a trial paused since December 1977.

Woman Killed In Crash At U S 224 And Ohio 60
An elderly Ruggles Township woman, Mildred A. Hamilton, died when her 1956 red Cadillac collided with a tanker truck on U S 224 at Ohio 60 in New London. The truck, owned by Ny Trex of Loudonville, struck the car as witnesses said she did not stop. both drivers were at the scene as deputies investigated. The accident occurred in wet icy road conditions and the body was taken to Samaritan Hospital for autopsy. Eastman Funeral Home will handle arrangements.
