The Wonder Bar at 48 Front St. reported theft of whiskey cigarettes cigarette lighters change and a 25 caliber automatic pistol totaling about 104 dollars. Rhett Marshall found the scene this morning with items scattered as police investigate.
Former cabinet member John N. Mitchell arrives at Foley Square for his perjury and conspiracy trial. Co defendant Maurice Stans enters through a side door as spectators and reporters push through to cover the federal court appearance.
Ohio will not implement a state run rationing program and argues the federal government should fund any measures. State registrar Donald Curry said several plans exist and one contemplates a bipartisan setup where drivers would obtain ration cards at boards of elections.

Concordia Seminary in St Louis the largest Lutheran seminary dismissed nearly all faculty Monday to end a doctrinal dispute. The board demanded 40 dissident professors who have boycotted classes since Jan 21 return to work by noon. They refused.
President Nixon drew a large Huntsville crowd during an Honor America Day rally as he promoted national prosperity and peace abroad. He returns to Washington after a five day trip, plans meetings with Egypt and Saudi Arabia ministers, and celebrates his daughter Julie Eisenhower’s recovery. Governor Wallace, in a wheelchair, hailed Nixon as he faced little opposition among the cheering audience.
Sebring Vanguard, Inc. announced plans to mass produce an electric car that recharges via a wall socket. They aim to build 2,000 this year, claiming an eight foot long vehicle with a 50 mile range at 30 mph, priced at 2200 dollars. The car targets urban use and is described as smog free and silent.
Norwalk council will meet at City Hall at 7 30 tonight to introduce an ordinance allowing persons over 14 to ride bicycles in the street.
