The Defense Department listed two Ohioans killed recently in hostile action in Southeast Asia. One is Spec. 4 George G. Hutson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Neill and husband of Mrs. Sara Neill of 2929 Sedgewick Ave Warren Ohio.
UPI reports President Nixon refused to limit U S air power in Indochina and did not rule out Saigon invading North Vietnam. He pressed Vietnamization while warning Hanoi about POWs and promised further troop withdrawal details before May 1.
Sister Julita Maria Williams a 37 year old Catholic nun who taught mentally retarded children was shot through drapery covered windows of her convent room. She died shortly after the temple wound. Four unidentified suspects were arrested in a nearby apartment building police said.

President Nixon unveiled a national health care plan requiring private employers to share premiums, with workers paying 25 percent and the federal government covering most costs for the poor. It would shield families from catastrophic expenses up to 50 000 dollars and offer premium free protection for low income families, aiming to cover all but about 40 million Americans and reduce Medicaid. HEW Secretary Elliot Richardson estimated a 3 billion dollar federal cost in the first year amid competing proposals from Congress.
Susan Kish 17 daughter of Rudy and Mary Newton of 103 Jefferson St won first prize in the investments category at the district DECA contest held at EHOVE Joint Vocational School. She will advance to the state event March 19 to 21 in Columbus among 16 first prize winners. Norwalk classmates Debi Keefer Mary Pflieger and Julia Emmons also won prizes in business vocabulary income tax and advertising respectively with Emmons named as a state alternate.
Huron County Treasurer Harold B. Collier reported a first-half 1970 real estate tax haul of 3 132 383 and special assessments of 80 314, totaling 3 212 697. The year-ago total was 2 706 285 with 61 517 for special assessments.
The city charter commission race gains two candidates Roger A. Striker and Edward P. Barker. Striker 27 works at a Phillips Sohio Station and is married with a son. Barker 30 is a salesman. The field reaches eight with 15 members to be elected if the charter is created. Filing deadline is 4 p.m. March 13.
The Erie Huron Counties Community Action Commission meeting erupted over a Personnel Committee report on hiring a new director. William Lewis won the 3-2 committee vote, then was approved by the full board amid near fistfight and heated exchanges. Retiring director Wallace Reese left after inviting critic John Goss to settle outside as tensions flared.
William Lewis 58 was elected executive director of the Erie Huron Counties CAC program and will take the post March 12 after Wallace Reese resigns. He has directed the Norwalk CAC since 1969, plans no immediate changes, and intends to elevate current staff where possible. Lewis previously worked with the Ohio Civil Rights Commission and poverty programs in Ohio and Indiana.
