A defective floor heater caused a fire at the Dell Overton residence 21 West Willard Street. Damage est at 3000 to 4000 dollars with no occupants inside. Norris faces armed robbery charge. Norris to be represented
Norwalk attorney Donald H. Derby was appointed to defend Donald L. Norris 31 of 280 W Main St in the armed robbery case. Common Pleas Court Judge Robert J. Vetter set $10,000 cash or $20,000 property bond after Norris filed a poverty affidavit and pleaded not guilty. Norris allegedly took $300 from Woolworth manager Mrs Eugene Shumer on December 22 while armed with a pistol.

Misfits Motorcycle Club Suspects Jailed After Farmhouse Raid
Ten adults and two juveniles alleged members of The Misfits motorcycle club were arrested December 21 in Margaretta Township. Spencer Blatnik of Sandusky and Earl L. Karr of Castalia were brought to Norwalk for hearings. Initial charges included contributing to the unruliness of a minor, now upgraded to shooting with intent to wound and armed robbery. Karr faces further counts of breaking and entering a constable’s car, grand larceny for a shotgun theft, and assault with a deadly weapon.
