Doors open 7 p.m. with tip at 8 p.m. 150 tickets remained at noon, likely sold by 3 p.m. Sales rose after Tuesday and today with buyers purchasing large blocks. Seating capacity is 2,300.
Six members of a family died when a rented two story wooden farmhouse burned early today in Panton Vermont as they slept. At least one body was recovered from the smoldering debris. The victims were Mr and Mrs Gerald Warren Sr their three children and his mother._SIGNS COMMISSION .Llewellyn E. Thompson was sworn in as U S Ambassador to the Soviet Union in Washington replacing Foy Kohler. Thompson previously served as ambassador to Russia from 1957 to 1962.
Eight suburbs including University Heights Berea Garfield Heights Highland Heights Middlebury Heights Warrensville Heights Shaker Heights and South Euclid voted Tuesday night to adopt a 11/2 percent city income tax. A young mother Sandra Whitmer 24 of Plymouth Road and a farmer Walter Etle 76 of Miller Road Willard died in separate Huron County crashes. Whitmer lost control on Route 224 east of Willard and died of head injuries after a two car crash. Miss Gomez 18 and a passenger were treated and others cited for driving without a license. Etle died when his farm dump truck was struck by a fast freight near J Tower Section Line 30 Road. his body taken to Fink Funeral Home with survivors unavailable.
Henry E. Young, attorney with offices in the Citizens National Bank building, enters the 1967 Norwalk city solicitor race as the first Republican candidate. A former mayor and prior city solicitor, he cites prior service and community involvement, and lists a background including Oberlin College and Western Reserve University Law School.
