West Virginia Delays Extradition Proceedings in Fussell Case

Delaney sought data on extradition from Ohio County Prosecutor Dennis Naum by November 21 the Colorado court hearing day. By November 17 no word came from West Virginia. Attempts to reach Naum and Rockefeller failed. Colorado Gov. Lamm said West Virginia was silent. Four days later, two months after Fussell’s arrest, Delaney dismissed extradition notes show warrants prepared Oct. 26. Naum said governor’s office acknowledged Nov. 17 but papers weren’t mailed until Nov. 21 the hearing day.

Jewish Volunteer CopWatch on Christmas in Grand Rapids

In East Grand Rapids Michigan volunteers from Bnai Brith filled patrols on Christmas Day to allow 21 city officers to be home with families. This year 72 volunteers contributed, double the usual, with no guns carried. Officers noted the volunteers ride with officers or stay at dispatch as part of a non gun patrol setup.
