Drug-crazed mouse gnaws on Birmingham narcotics evidence
In Birmingham a mouse named C-Bo, slang for Colombian marijuana, has been found eating the best of the pot stored as evidence four months after narcotics agents spotted the rodent. Lt. J E Bibb and officer Pat Curry reported the discovery of C-Bo chewing on a nickel-bag of evidence from a desk drawer.

Alitalia Jet Down Near Palermo Kills 100
A Palermo bound Alitalia DC-9 with 129 aboard crashed into the Mediterranean during approach to Punta Rassi airport and sank. Officials say at least 108 deaths, 21 survivors including a Frenchman and a Dutchman, are confirmed as crews search for more bodies and possible trapped passengers.
