Flaming Desserts Made Safe With Simple Steps
Desserts can be flaming safely by using a 20 percent alcohol beverage or sugar cubes soaked in flavor extract. Lemon orange rum and brandy work well. Pour over the dessert and ignite with a long match, repeating until flames die and most alcohol has burned away. If warming the beverage, use a long handled container over a low flame until fumes ignite.
