Milan Cuts Electric Rates For Commercial Customers
Milan village council approved emergency cuts lowering minimum commercial electric charges from 14.40 to 3.60 after protests over a rate hike blamed on miscounting commercial users. Some members urged ongoing review and possible future adjustments while others questioned timing and attendance. The council also imposed a $10.80 landfill charge on Huron County residents for 1978 and 1979 costs billed via January and March water bills.
