Ohio Secretary of State Ted W. Brown says a preliminary check found about 500 Cleveland residents may have voted from demolished or former addresses in the November 5 election. He notes people whose homes were torn down for freeways often keep voting from the old address.
Darrell Hammarley a 56 year old San Jose resident and retired airline pilot who received two heart transplants at Stanford Medical Center died 22 days after his second transplant from a brain血 clot. First heart implanted November 20 by Dr Norman Shumway.
The FCC proposed pay TV within six months for communities with four TV stations and urged CATV systems in the 100 largest cities to originate some programming. Hearings are planned for January on rules for distant signal importation and program origination to broaden viewing options.

State Senator-elect Mike McKool of Dallas proposed a plan to buy or acquire the Texas School Book Depository site to turn it into a museum. He said the building could become one of the greatest museums in the world and would complement the nearby JFK Memorial Plaza.
Norwalk city councilmen have reached a decision on a city income tax but will not disclose it until the Tuesday night council meeting. The Finance Committee Chair said action on the tax will be announced then with possible options including second reading or tabling.
