FBI probes Geauga Sheriff over racketeering and mail fraud
The FBI Cleveland office subpoenas records from 12 Geauga County and Columbus agencies in a two month investigation into the Geauga County Sheriff's Department. The probe, under three federal laws, centers on racketeering extortion and mail fraud related to use of manpower and equipment, with thousands of documents to grand jury in Cleveland.
