City Employes Accept Seven Percent Pay Raise In 1976
Norwalk city employees approved a seven percent wage increase for 1976. Ninety-five of 97 workers will receive the rise, negotiated by the Ohio Civil Service Employees Association. Mayor Wayne Goodsite and Finance Director Douglas Colvin will not get raises. A floating holiday and a paid day were included in the settlement reached after a 90 minute meeting with five employee representatives and city officials.

Norwalk Apartment Manager Hurt in Minor Explosion
James Howard, manager of North Norwalk Apartments on Bouscau Avenue, received minor burns to his face and limbs when a small blast occurred while he removed carpet tiles. Fire crews battled the flames, with about 2000 dollars in damage. The cause remains uncertain.
