Mystery surrounds cause of Skyhawk shootdown over Atlantic
Cherry Point officials said they remain mystified about why an unarmed heat seeking missile fired by a Marine Phantom jet hit a Navy A4 Skyhawk during a training flight Friday. The Skyhawk crashed into the Atlantic off the North Carolina coast. Lt. Jerome Petykowski survived by ejecting from the plane.

Chlorine gas leak forces mass evacuation near Baton Rouge plant
