Maple City Garden Club and Delta Kappa Gamma Notice
The Maple City Garden Club met at Mrs Hollis Ensminger's home with Mrs Edgar Ames as co host. Delta Kappa Gamma initiated five members at First United Presbyterian Church and held a luncheon with Christmas songs and a slide story. The next meeting is Feb 8 at the Twine House in Huron. Mrs Carol Bilton celebrated a birthday with a toy combine cake due to a power outage from a heavy snowfall. her husband Richard and their son Reuben live on Hartland Center Road near Hartland, where they farm 600 acres.

A surprise party honored Mr. and Mrs. William A. Hite on their 25th anniversary at Hartland Community Center. Hosted by sons Mike Dan and Scott, the couple married December 2, 1949, at the Wolfe home. Mr. Hite works for Norfolk and Western Railway.
