Paul Laycock, longtime Norwalk City Schools music educator since age 19, will retire in June after 50 years. He taught band, orchestra, and elementary music, led the marching band for 40 years, and recently conducted the orchestra. Laycock holds degrees from the University of Cincinnati and University of Northern Colorado, and lives with his wife Jo at 202 W. Main St with three children.
Dallas group the African Bandits plans a December toy purchase with top distributor pricing. They will deliver gifts to children via Crossroads Community Center YMCA and local black churches, and organize Dallas first black Christmas parade.
