Crash Kills Woman on Peru Center Road
A Huron County mother, June M. Dallas, 31, died when her Volkswagen hit a culvert and turned over on Peru Center Road. Her daughter Leona Irene Dallas, 12, was injured. Leona remained in fair condition at Willard Area Hospital.

Winds Sweep County Barn Collapses Injure Residents
High winds in Huron County caused a fatal crash near Monroeville as Mrs. David Dallas 31 died when her car hit a culvert and flipped. Her 12 year old daughter was injured. A Wakeman area farmer and his son were injured when a 40 by 60 foot barn collapsed while they braced it. Norwalk faced outages with 22 primary calls. Continuous winds damaged lines, street lights failed in several towns, and a Continental Cablevision tower was damaged knocking out WTOL.
