10-Foot Strip Brings Jury Award in Mans field Land Dispute
A Huron County Common Pleas Court jury awarded Frank Beymer Inc. $20,510 for a 10 foot wide land strip sought by the city of Mansfield for Trimble Road improvements. The three hour verdict covered 9260 for land 9850 for damages and 1400 for temporary use. Beymer had asked 30 50 thousand dollars for the parcels involved.

Truck Fire on Ohio Turnpike Destroys Five Thousand Dollar Load
A truck carrying electrical supplies valued at five thousand dollars burnt out on the Ohio Turnpike nine miles east of the Sandusky Norwalk interchange. The driver Robert N. Kosicky, 39, of Cleveland, reported seeing flames from the back of the vehicle and Berlin Heights firemen extinguished the blaze.

County Won’t Accept Angela Mahl's Baby
Huron County Welfare Director George Lawrence said the county will refuse to accept the baby girl born 12 weeks ago to Angela Mahl in Washington D C. Norwalk Elementary Schools to Stage Christmas Pageant

Christmas Pageant Limits Focus to Upper Elementary Grades
Participation this year is limited to fourth fifth and sixth grade students as Mozelle Adams Elementary Supervisor explains the change allows every child to take part.
