Susan Yoh 20 a Salvation Army bell ringer was run down by a car after two youths grabbed her kettle outside Pontiac Mall in Clarkston Michigan. She was treated for minor injuries and released. The kettle theft was the first in 28 years enflaming Salvation Army officials.

City officials met with attorneys for Royce Shopping Centers and Mr Wiggs Department Stores as they consider building new centers in the Norwalk area. Royce plans a 1 percent million dollar center on U S 20 west of Norwalk with Masons Discount Department Store as major tenant. Wiggs proposes a 12 acre site on U S 250 at the U S 20 bypass on the south side. Both firms discussed annexation and water and electric service. no formal utility applications were filed. Royce has talked with Monroeville about water service, but Monroeville line is inadequate. Annexation is required by both Norwalk and Monroeville to supply water.

Wreckage of CH47 Chinook Found With No Survivors
The USS command confirms the Chinook troop transport wreckage found on a mountaintop. Twenty eight American soldiers and five crewmen were aboard and all are reported dead. Ground troops reached the site after two days of jungle search near the crash last Sunday.
