Kennedy Portraits Finished Await White House Unveiling

White House plans January unveiling of newly finished portraits of President John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Aaron Shickler painted both works for the White House Historical Association. Mrs Onassis approved. Caroline Kennedy may attend. JFK portrait to hang in the Red Room, Onassis portrait to join First Ladies displays.

Hoodlums Blamed For East Side Fire In Cleveland

Fire Chief William Barry blamed area hoodlums for a 1 million dollar blaze that tore through an East Side block in Cleveland. The fire destroyed St Francis Church and its elementary school along with an apartment building and several homes. Investigators sought a recently evicted family tied to similar arson patterns.
