Birds airlifted from Tokyo after mild November delays

Seven migratory birds that over wintered in Tokyo were flown to Naha Okinawa after failing to navigate strong southerly winds. They were treated at Ueno Zoo hospital before the Wednesday airlift by Japan Airlines to Okinawa’s capital.

Man Abducted and Dumped in Field Near Berlin Heights

Donald Corbin, 24, of Galion, was abducted while en route to work, forced to drive by two men with at least one speaking with a Southern accent, and left in a field near Berlin Heights around midnight. His car was found abandoned under the Vermilion-On-The-Lake bridge. he was treated and released for a headache and facial injuries. Erie County deputies and Bellevue police investigate.
